Yes there was someone in charge of the ming dynasty and his name was Zhi Di. Some things about Zhi Di are .... he joined the army, he served with distinction in battles. He was then choosen as general by a rebelling warlord named Guo Ziyi. COOOLLL!! :D
How long did the ming dynasty last?
The ming dynasty started in 1368 and lasted until 1644 A.D. Its founder was a peasant, the third of only three peasants ever to become an emperor in China. He is known as Hongwu Emperor, and led the revolt against the Mongols and the Yuan Dynasty.
Was the Ming Dynasty a group? Was it ever attacked by others?
Yes there were some groups that formed among the eunuchs and the nobility that worked to gain sole power and place one of their leaders as emperor. Weak leaders were overpowered and children were often placed on the throne who had no control over their empire. At this time, the Manchu were also beginning to attack Chinese cities that existed in Manchuria, eventually gaining control first of the whole of Manchuria and then in 1644 over China, thus beginning the Qing Dynasty.
Where was the Ming Dynasty? What were its aclomplishments?
The ming dynasty was originally located in Nanjing but the third emporer moved it to Beijing. One of the greatest accomplishments of the Ming Dynasty was a reorganization of the Chinese military, which resulted in a rise in social status for members of the military. Soldiers had traditionally been regarded as marginal members of society, but under the Ming Dynasty, the military expanded radically and became much more organized, turning China into a heavily fortified nation.
